South Texas College of Law Wins 128th National Advocacy Title

One of Cokinos | Young ‘s newest attorneys, Ryan Cunningham, coached his alma mater South Texas College of Law to its 128th National Moot Court Tournament Championship this past weekend in Chicago. More than 32 teams from Law Schools across the nation entered the 2017 Chicago Bar Association Moot Court Competition, where they engaged in appellate arguments on two complex issues of law. The South Texas team, consisting of third year law students William Grubb and Ryan Wallace, went undefeated, including their sweep of the Championship Round panel in the En Banc room at the Federal 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. Cunningham could not be prouder of the team, who trained with their coaches and other advocates for two and a half weeks in the T. Gerald Treece Courtroom at South Texas College of Law, just two blocks from Cokinos | Young ‘s Houston office.
