Biography
Kristen Maloney is an attorney in the Austin office of Cokinos | Young. She practices both construction and employment law, representing residential and commercial clients in construction disputes and protecting the interests of employers and employees in matters involving non-competition agreements, trade secrets, wrongful termination, retaliation, and discrimination. Together with that work, she defends public and private employers in administrative proceedings before federal agencies such as the EEOC, OSHA, and HUD, as well as state workforce commissions.
Kristen received her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 2022, where she served on the executive boards of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team and the International Law Society. During law school, she gained experience through internships with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the Texas Attorney General’s Office in the Consumer Protection Division.
Prior to law school, Kristen taught 4th grade in Spring Branch ISD as a Teach for America Corps member.
