Biography
Chris Ross is an attorney in the Austin office of Cokinos | Young. His practice centers on construction and commercial litigation in state and federal courts. He primarily represents clients in the construction industry broadly, handling both commercial and residential project disputes involving contracts, delays, defects, payment issues, liens, and related business claims. He also represents clients in commercial litigation and breach of contract matters across a variety of industries.
Chris’s experience includes products and premises liability, business litigation, real estate disputes, employment matters, personal injury litigation, and intellectual property disputes involving trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. He guides clients through all phases of litigation, from early case assessment and strategy through written discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, mediation, and trial, and works aggressively to secure the best possible outcome.
Chris received his J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where he served as Associate Managing Editor of the SMU Law Review, externed for the Northern District of Texas, competed in moot court competitions, and worked as a licensed student attorney in the SMU Civil Clinic.
Chris enjoys spending time in the Texas Hill Country and running around Lady Bird Lake.
