Biography
Ms. Docherty is an associate at the San Francisco office. Ms. Docherty’s practice focuses on civil defense litigation.
Prior to joining Cokinos | Young, Ms. Docherty began her career at McDowell Shaw & Garcia, where she practiced insurance defense litigation.
Ms. Docherty graduated from Santa Clara University, School of Law in 2022 with a Tech Edge JD Certificate. During her time at Santa Clara University, Ms. Docherty served in multiple executive leadership positions in various student organizations and served as the Associate Development Editor for the High Technology Law Journal. During law school, Ms. Docherty interned at Oracle Corporation and Palo Alto Networks where she gained experience in civil litigation, employment law, commercial technology transactions, intellectual property, and data privacy. In 2018, Ms. Docherty earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara where she double majored in political science and philosophy with emphasis in American politics and ethics. Ms. Docherty is in good standing with the State Bar of California.
In her free time, Ms. Docherty enjoys hiking with friends, collecting vinyl records, and spending time with her two cats, Felix and Cheese.
