Biography

Katie Nash is a principal in the Houston office of Cokinos | Young and a member of the Corporate & Real Estate Transactions practice group. Her practice focuses on corporate governance, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and serving as outside general counsel to businesses at every stage of the corporate life cycle—from formation and strategic growth to restructuring and exit. Katie advises a diverse range of clients, from startups and closely held companies to established enterprises, providing practical, business-oriented guidance on complex transactions and day-to-day operations. Her experience includes structuring and negotiating sophisticated business agreements, debt and equity financings, and employment-related matters. In addition, Katie has significant experience forming nonprofit organizations and guiding clients through the process of obtaining and maintaining 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, offering strategic counsel tailored to mission-driven entities. Katie also represents clients in commercial and residential real estate transactions, bringing a comprehensive and detail-oriented approach to each matter to help clients achieve efficient and successful outcomes. Outside of her practice, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys.
