Biography

Blake Jones is an attorney in the Houston office of Cokinos | Young. Blake’s practice is primarily focused on resolving industrial, commercial, and residential construction disputes, including payment claims, construction defects, structural failures, differing site conditions, delays, productivity losses, mechanic’s and materialman’s liens, and performance and payment bond issues. Blake also has experience litigating employment disputes involving trade secret misappropriation, breaches of confidentiality agreements, and breaches of covenants not to compete.

Prior to his legal career, Blake earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Energy Finance and an Energy Management Certificate from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. Blake earned his J.D. from Baylor Law School, where he competed as an advocate in the Emory Civil Rights and Liberties moot court competition and served as a Baylor Law Student Ambassador and a Barrister in Baylor Law’s intra-school moot court competitions.
