Kristi Hubbard is an attorney in the Houston office of Cokinos | Young where she focuses on intellectual property, contract, and business litigation. Kristi has experience representing large business entities, start-up companies, and individuals in complex business disputes, intellectual property, and construction matters in both state and federal courts. She also has extensive experience successfully prosecuting trademarks with the USPTO and registering copyrights with the United States Copyright Office.
Kristi has successfully represented a variety of companies from large, international general contractors and beverage companies, to established land developers, architects, mid-sized subcontractors, restaurants, and start-up companies in their various intellectual property, contract, and other business needs. As a litigator, she has handled lawsuits involving trademark infringement, copyright infringement, patent infringement, breach of contract, trade secret misappropriation, unfair competition, fraud, and a variety of other claims integral to business operations. On the transactional side, Kristi has drafted and negotiated licensing agreements, non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, manufacturing agreements, and intellectual property security agreements.
Kristi is licensed to practice in California and Texas state and federal courts. She regularly advises clients on the issues unique to the state of California. Kristi earned a Bachelor of Science from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. She graduated cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she served as Senior Associate to the San Diego Journal for Climate and Energy Law.
